Daijah Denise Jones was born to her loving parents, Andrew and Shamika Jones on December 23rd of 2002, at Methodist Sugar Land Hospital. At the tender age of 14, she went to be with the Lord, peacefully, at Texas Children’s Hospital on November 1st of 2017 at 10:20 am. Daijah dedicated her life to Christ at an early age and enjoyed attending The Church at Bethel’s Family, where she was active in the drama ministry. She attended school at Stafford High School where she was involved in band, culinary arts, drama, and choir. As an ode to the fighter she was, she had recently won an essay scholarship regarding her overcoming her struggles in life. This allowed her to travel to New York, which she truly enjoyed. She conquered so many obstacles in life, especially concerning her health, without any complaints. Her contagious smile and big heart were only some of the reasons many loved her. Daijah was an excellent listener; full of compassion to help others solve their own problems. It’s only natural, that she aspired to be a psychologist and follow in her parents’ and her brother, Devin Jones, footsteps, and attend college at Texas Southern University.

Daijah is lovingly remembered by her parents: Andrew D. Jones III and Shamika LaShae Jones, her brothers and sister: Andrew D. Jones IV, Devin Dior Jones, and Lauryn Andrenae-Michelle Jones, her grandparents: Carl and Lisa Davis, Albert and Maxine Matthews, Earline Jones, Andrew D. Jones Jr. and Barbara Jones, her great grandparents: Alex and Mae McGee, and Florence Philistin, her godparents: Dionne Randle and Randy Randle, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
